SQL Full Text Catalog – If full text index doesn’t exists create on table

Working with full text catalogue and sql source control can be a real pain – firstly red-gate sql compare does not seem to handler full text catalogues properly, and neither does the scripting features of sql management studio!

Checking if something exists is fundamental to almost anything, but it took me a little while to work out how to query for the existence of a full text index on a specific table:

I also found that when trying to script out a full text index none of the information regarding what was indexed was actually put in the script:

So to create the index on the table:

And now all is good!
